Built small on purpose. Capped at four.Run by people who’d rather not grow it.
The Few and Fitting is a hand-picked list of wedding pros for the Piedmont Triad, not a national directory. Here’s why it’s small, why it’s local, and why that’s the whole point.
01 · The problem
The Knot, WeddingWire, and Wedy turned wedding planning into a shopping mall. There are 800 photographers in a single metro, vendors bid against each other for placement, and couples scroll for weeks wondering who to trust. The same names end up at the top of every search because they can afford to be, not because they’re the right fit.
Vendors get burned out paying for leads that never convert, locked into 12-month pay-to-rank contracts, and competing with strangers for the same inbox. Couples get inbox fatigue from 30 near-identical vendor replies, pressure to pick fast, and little reason to trust that anyone on the list has actually been vetted. Everyone loses. We thought there was a quieter way to do this.
02 · The model
Capped at four. Verified before a vendor sees it.
You send one inquiry with your date, budget, venue, and the categories you’re shopping. We verify the basics — real date inside our published window, plausible budget, working email and phone — and route it to the up-to-four vendors already seated in each of your categories.
Up to four vendors reply inside ~48 hours. No bidding, no mass-blasted list, no inbox avalanche. You pick from a shortlist you can actually read, and every name on it already cleared our check.
Four vendors per category per metro, full stop. When a bucket closes we open a wait list — we never expand the cap, never run a bidding war, and never sell placement.
Every inquiry you receive has been verified. $79/month flat, month-to-month through Stripe. Cancel anytime, no 12-month contract, no per-lead fees, no upsells. One seat, one category, one metro — and your bench stays small on purpose.
03 · Where we started
The Few and Fitting started in the Piedmont Triad because that’s home. Our founder got married here, booked vendors here, and watched the same handful of local photographers, florists, and planners do beautiful work — and watched them get buried under national marketplaces that charge to be seen.
A hand-picked model only works at a single-metro scale. You have to know the vendors, vet their work, and keep the bench small enough that every member actually gets the inquiries. So we’re starting here, on purpose, and we’ll seed additional metros one at a time once we’ve earned the right to — never by stretching the cap or white-labeling a directory. If you’re a Triad couple or vendor, this is for you first.
