Terms of Service

The Few and Fitting is a hand-picked vendor directory for weddings in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. We accept one inquiry at a time from couples, verify the basics (wedding date, budget, working contact), and route it to the up-to-four vendors already seated in each requested category and metro.

We are not a marketplace, an auction, a referral network, an agency, or an event planner. We do not negotiate, mediate, or guarantee any booking, date, price, service level, or outcome between a couple and a vendor. If you and a vendor agree to work together, that agreement is solely between the two of you.

Every category in every metro carries exactly four seats. Seats open in the order a vendor completes signup and verification, and they stay closed when all four are filled. We never widen a bucket, never open a wait-list “auction,” and never sell placement tiers or featured listings.

When a seat opens, it goes to the first eligible vendor on our internal wait list for that category and metro. We can re-shuffle seats at our sole discretion if a vendor becomes inactive or fails our verification re-checks.

Vendor seats on the launch bench are free during the launch window. We call this “founding-member onboarding”: you submit a short intake form, we verify the basics, and we hold your seat on the bench while we grow the lead pipeline. No credit card, no recurring charge, no setup fee.

We may turn on billing for an individual category once it has a working bench and real verified leads are flowing. If we do, we’ll email every vendor in that category in advance — with the new rate, the start date, and how to opt out without losing your seat on the bench. Free founding-member signups do not automatically become paid later; a flip only affects new signups to that category going forward.

Once billing is on for a category, new signups are billed by Stripe on a recurring monthly subscription. There is no 12-month contract, no setup fee, and no per-lead fee. The published rate is the rate you pay — a founding rate may apply to the first vendor in any new bucket for month one.

Cancel anytime from your vendor dashboard or your Stripe customer portal. Your seat stays active through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial months. Reactivating a cancelled seat is subject to the current cap and wait-list order.

Submitting an inquiry through The Few and Fittingdoes not guarantee any vendor will respond, that any vendor will be available on your date, or that any booking, quote, or service level will result. Vendors respond at their own discretion and on their own timeline. We do not endorse, vet for quality beyond our baseline verification, or warrant any vendor’s work. You are responsible for interviewing vendors, reviewing contracts, and making your own booking decisions.

• Couples: submit one inquiry per wedding with accurate contact info and a real wedding date within the published window. Don’t use the form for marketing, scraping, or anything other than a genuine vendor search.
• Vendors: keep your public profile, pricing, and availability current. Don’t misrepresent your category, metro, or capacity. Don’t use the platform to solicit couples outside the cap or to circumvent the wait list.
• Everyone: don’t try to disrupt the service, probe the platform for vulnerabilities, or scrape contact data. We may suspend or terminate access if you do.

To the maximum extent permitted by North Carolina law, the platform is provided “as is” and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or any interaction between a couple and a vendor. Our total liability for any claim related to the platform will not exceed the fees you have paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or related to the platform or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Guilford County, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Send legal notices, takedown requests, and counter-notices to the-few-and-fitting@polsia.app with the subject line prefixed “Legal notice”. We acknowledge within five business days and respond substantively within thirty days where required.

We may revise these terms. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give reasonable notice through the platform or by email. Continued use of The Few and Fittingafter a change means you accept the updated terms. If you don’t, please stop using the platform — we’ll be sorry to see you go.

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, including what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with (up to four verified vendors per requested category and metro — and only those), and how to request deletion of your data.

The platform runs every category as “free founding-member onboarding” by default. The operator can flip a single category to “paid” at any time through the admin dashboard. After a flip, only new signups to that category are routed through Stripe checkout — vendors who joined while the category was free keep their founding-member status and are not charged.

The flip is forward-only: existing free rows stay seated (no card on file, no charge), and existing paid vendors keep their Stripe subscriptions untouched. The 4-vendor cap per (category, metro) applies in both modes and continues to be enforced the same way regardless of whether the category is currently free or paid.
